- Provide coaching and mentoring to other software engineering staff
- Continue to develop your knowledge and technical skills to grow your Engineering Capability.

- Relevant tertiary qualifications (e.g. Bachelor/Grad Dip. Science/Computer Science/Software Engineering, IT Certification or similar) or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 5 years proven working experience in software development.
- Fullstack or Back End development experience and preferably some knowledge of React and Golang.
- Demonstrable experience in building solutions based on an understanding of your users and the objectives of the business.
- Demonstrable experience in taking complex solutions and breaking them into tasks for development.
- Sound understanding of design and architectural patterns, and coding practices.
- Experience with software development and quality processes, especially Agile development methodologies.
- Positive work attitude and a growth mindset.
- Clear spoken and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of clients and staff.
- Familiarity with React, GoLang, gRPC, GraphQL
- Experience working with large scale and distributed teams
- Experience working in a B2B / SaaS environment

Where & How We Work
At HappyCo we work in a multitude of ways depending on where we are and what is going on in our lives. Whether that be fully remote or hybrid remote, or in-office sometimes, we cater for everyone!
We currently have an office in Adelaide, Australia but our team is currently spread across Australia, United States, New Zealand, Canada and we are growing rapidly!
Our HQ is in Adelaide, so if you are based there you have the option of working in the office, at home or in a hybrid capacity! For those in other states, we enable complete remote working!
Being globally distributed means thinking about other time zones and to support this we offer autonomy and flexibility in how you structure your day around core working hours. There might be some collaboration outside of a "normal" 9-5, but we aim to work asynchronously as much as possible.

The Opportunity
As a Senior Engineer you will be a key contributor to the development of experiences that meet our customers needs. At HappyCo we empower our teams to solve problems in ways our customers and partners love and that work for our business. Working alongside Product Managers, Designers and Engineers you will help advance us along our technology roadmap, leveraging your experience to uplift the technical capability within our Engineering team.
Our Engineers are empowered to help contribute towards the design of solutions that solve customer problems, and as a Senior Engineer you will help identify potential problems and risks in the both the code and feature design and communicate these with your peers. You will be able to take moderately complex products and features and break down features into tasks and deliver them in collaboration with your team.
At HappyCo you’ll work with our passionate and top performing team to develop extraordinary mobile and cloud solutions for inspecting, managing and monitoring multifamily residential properties and commercial facilities.
